1. Locate the main game directory (for steam - C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia Definitive Edition\. 2. Go to sds_retail\gui\ and replace shared_gui.sds file (make a backup) You can change FPS and FOV in display options. This mod allows you to lock/cap the game to 30, 60 or unlimited FPS. You can also change the FOV from 30 to 120.
If that doesn't work for you, something else might be going on, but that works just fine for me as well. It's Q on the keyboard in case you use that. It's a downgrade from Mafia 3. Press Q for punch. But you can also just spam the "melee" button ("B" on controller). Waiting for the dodge prompt is entirely unnecessary.

2 and 3 Definitive Editions are remasters. 1 Definitive edition is a full blown remake. The price for it is quite good as well. 3 isnt even a remaster, they just threw all of the dlc into a bundle and then broke HDR support, 2 Definitive Edition sucks ass, the "remaster" pretty much broke the entire game.
