Mondeo Mk5, 2.0 TDCi 4x4, 189.000km (~115k miles), Norway The other day, while I accelerated onto the highway, just as I hit 80km/h (50mph), the dreaded amber spanner lit up, and I lost engine power.
the 11kgs (the static weight of the AC) adds to the 150kgs removed, with the rated power the effect is to have the equivelant of a Mondeo 2.2 hatch with about 200Hp, (in static weight) - the 1kg AC pulley not being on the engine is the equivelant of 1kg off the flywheel, which is supposed to be worth 100kgs off the car in 1st (though i cant useThe PCV on the duratec I4 engine,is i am pretty sure behind the inlet manifold, and it vents into the rear of the inlet manifold via a rubber hose, thats for the lower crankase ventilation, there is also upper crankcase ventilation, from the rear top right of the cam cover, that vents into the inlet air feed tube between the airfilter and throttle body.
